The two-day landmark event brought together policymakers, scholars, development practitioners, and youth leaders to reflect on eight decades of the UN’s global impact in promoting peace, security, and sustainable development.

Our Founder, Distinguished Professor Cynthia Amaka Obiorah, was specially invited as a speaker and panelist, contributing valuable insights on the theme “Climate Action, Health & Education: A Community-Centred Approach.”

In her presentation, Professor Obiorah emphasised the critical importance of empowering local communities as a catalyst for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). She highlighted how integrated, people-focused approaches to climate action, health, and education can strengthen resilience and advance inclusive growth across Africa.

The summit, held in partnership with the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs, also featured high-level plenary sessions, capacity-building workshops, and an award ceremony celebrating outstanding contributions to peace, development, and gender equality.
